The strategy that I decided to use this week was the D's Do and Due Organizer and I used it in my AST 101 class and in my MAT 121 class. The reason I chose this strategy is because I felt like the organizer would help me to avoid procrastinating by setting times for me to do my work. At the beginning of the week I went to my planner and I drew a line down the middle of the pages and I labeled the left side of the page "Do" and the right side "Due". I then wrote all of my assignments that are due this week on the right side. I wrote in my AST online homework, my AST pre-lab assignment, and my MAT test on the appropriate days. I then wrote in on the left side when I was planning on completing or studying for those assignments.
This strategy was did help me not procrastinate but I have never really enjoyed using a planner. Constantly getting it out and flipping through the pages to the right date becomes somewhat of a hassle. I found that my other method that I have been doing before i started the D's Do and Due Organizer is much more convenient for me. I use a to-do list app for my iphone called 2Do. I am constantly looking at my phone throughout the day and having all of my tasks organized there is much easier than carrying around a planner.
