I used the target planner strategy in my Spanish 201 class. I used it for my first oral presentation project. I broke my project upinto different sections. The first section I made was to research what topic I wanted to do. Next, I made a section for the actual research for the project. Then I set a date for me to be typing up a rough draft for my oral presentation. Lastly I set a date for me to be done and prepared for my entire oral presentation.
I also used this strategy in my WRT105 class. I made a target planner to break up my paper into different sections. The first section I made was to decide what reading I wanted to use as the basis of my paper and to re-read that reading. Next, I made a deadline for myself to be done with the first page of my rough draft. Then I made a date for me to be done with the next two pages of my rough d

raft and one more date for me to be done completely with my rough draft. Then I set date's for me to go to the writing center and get my paper reviewed and revised. I also made a section for me to send my paper to different people for peer editing. Lastly, I made a section for me to be completely done with my paper.
I chose this strategy because it is working well for me with the faculty interview project. It is the best way for me personally to keep on top of my tasks and get my projects done. I was able to complete every section of my writing paper on time and finished it a day before it was due which relieved me of a lot of stress. For my Spanish project I am currently completely on task and set to have it done a day before my oral presentation. This strategy has kept me on task and has worked with 100 percent effectiveness and I would recommend it to anyone who needs help staying on task with a project.

ReplyDeleteWhen I used this strategy, I found that putting my target planner on my wall in room was a good idea so I wouldn't forget my deadlines. Did you use a similar method?
ReplyDeleteGood post. My only question would be how did you determine the dates for each phase of the target planner?
